Indiana Entertainment Foundation is building a library of physical releases of Indiana music on 78, 45, 33, cassette and CD. We have a solid start with thousands of vinyl records, about 1500 CD’s, a few 78’s and a hundred or so cassettes. Of course, this is far from complete or even comprehensive. Ultimately, we’d like to have at least one copy of every release, and we’ll continue to pursue this goal in the months and years ahead. Consider this IEF’s effort to emulate the Smithsonian Institution’s collection, just focused on Indiana music, with the intent of preserving these physical releases for decades to come.

We plan to expand the effort to include Indiana film, video and broadcast airchecks in the near future.

We also recognize the even more difficult challenge of cataloging and obtaining copies of digital only releases.  Our friends at Musical Family Tree host a digital Indiana music archive, which is a great place to upload music recordings so please add to their collection, whether your music was released physically, digitally or both.

If you have copies of physical releases that you can donate, IEF will be happy to provide you a market value tax deductible receipt. Contact us for more info.
